Why This Woman Went Vegan Immediately After Visiting This Restaurant

Posted on December 28, 2016 By 11 Comments on Why This Woman Went Vegan Immediately After Visiting This Restaurant

Sometimes it takes an experience in one’s life that is so shocking it could make someone go vegan overnight. Even the strongest omnivores would have been disgusted by the experience this woman had gone through. After ordering for chicken nuggets at McDonald’s she couldn’t believe her eyes seeing a feather in her nuggets. Maybe she realized for the first time in her life that she had been eating an animal that was alive while it was thrown in a huge grinder. Probably, she must have not been aware yet that eating a nugget means eating evey single part of a chicken. To be more precise: She had been eating feathers, eyes, feet and any other organs without even knowing. Against this background, one of the commentators put it very straightforward: “That feather should be the least of her worries.”

Celeste Sperry, from Cleveland in Ohio, took to Facebook after finding a feather in one of her nuggets from McDonald’s.

‘I WILL NEVER EAT CHICKEN NUGGETS AGAIN,’ she wrote, in all caps. ‘Wtf McDonald’s??????

‘I just pulled a feather out of my chicken nugget at the Brooklyn Ohio McDonald’s!!!!’

She then posted a series of photos, along with a video of her pulling the feather out of the nugget.

Since uploading photos of the chicken feather, the post has gone viral with hundreds of shares and likes.

Some commenters expressed their concern, writing ‘What the actual FUCK’ and ‘That is so fucking gross’.

Others, however, were more direct.

‘Wtf did you expect it came from a chicken’, one person wrote.

Another added: ‘I’m sorry you didn’t know that you’re eating something that naturally has feathers. Did you know it was an animal before they deep fried it?’

And one commenter was particularly graphic: ‘Uhm. Have you ever seen chicken nuggets get made? You are literally eating every single part of a chick.

‘They throw them in a huge grinder. Alive. Feathers. Eyes. Feet. Organs. Beak. That feather should be the least of your worries.’

Once you recognize that you are eating what was a living being, you can never look back.

No surprise it’s McDonald’s. The advert states that it’s 100% chicken breast nothing else and wouldn’t get past an inspector!

Comes with the territory. That was a living being, not only did it have feathers but it had a heart and a brain.
