If you want to live a long and healthy life, you will have to keep a balanced pH-value meaning that you need to take care of an appropriate balance between the acidic and the alkaline foods that you consume. However, most of the food that people eat is too acidic resulting in a high pH-level. Having a balanced pH-level is not a secondary issue but a crucial criterion for your health. A pH-level that is too high will pose a row of serious health issues and even cancer. There are quite a number of different fruits, nuts and vegetables you need to make part of a healthy raw food diet. This article is written to offer you some help in avoiding some of the most common mistakes which is eating too much acidic and too little alkaline food.

“Our diet should include various kinds of foods in order to maintain the balance of vitamins and minerals in the body.

However, modern life and the fast way of living have significantly changed our diet, as well as the quality of the fruits and vegetables we consume. Due to all this, numerous people use dietary supplements instead.

Yet, it is extremely important to be aware that vitamins should be taken in the morning, as they provide energy and vitality for the entire day, and will also help you sleep well during the night.

Acidic Foods

Especially in the developed Western countries, people consume numerous foods that create an acidic environment in the body. These include artificial sweeteners, caffeine, refined junk food products, like sugar-loaded cereals, and alcohol.

Various commercialized drinks and foods contain artificial sweeteners and are labeled as sugar-free, which is an absolute lie. The consumption of these foods can pose serious health risks.

In contrast, here is a list of the top alkaline foods:

Cabbage

Cabbage has powerful antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-carcinogenic properties. Moreover, you should not throw away the water in which you have cooked the cabbage, but use it in the preparation of various sauces, or you can simply drink it, for even best results!

Olive oil

Olive oil is a rich source of monounsaturated fatty acids. Moreover, it contains vitamin E, which prevents the occurrence of pain in the chest and heart attacks, and it is also beneficial in the case of hot flashes in the menopause.

Melon

Being incredibly rich in dietary fiber, vitamin A (beta-carotene), B6, C, potassium and folic acid, melons are excellent in providing energy. Moreover, they are also effective in preventing heart attacks and strokes. Also, the melon may act as an anticoagulant since it promotes blood thinning.

Buckwheat

Buckwheat is a remarkable substitution for wheat. It has rutin which provides energy and is effective in treating and preventing strokes caused by broken veins or arteries. Moreover, it is also excellent in the case of hemorrhoids and varicose veins. You can choose to consume it throughout the whole day.

Flax seed and flax seed oil

These are extremely rich in lignans, which enhance the function of the kidneys, and successfully prevent colon, breast, and prostate cancer. They are also rich in essential omega-3 fatty acids which are excellent for detoxifying the body, for regulating the blood pressure and reducing cholesterol levels. You can take flax seeds in the form of oil, and flax seeds can be eaten either directly or in your smoothies and salads.”
