When the bodybuilder-turned-actor-turned-politician Terminator Star arrived at the climate talks in Paris there was no doubt that this was going to be an extraordinary event this time. Schwarzenegger was swamped by his raving fans and was not shy in any manner to utter harsh criticism to those climate change deniers saying that he didn’t ‘give a damn if they disagreed with him. “Arnie” said that people are supposed to march forward “like terminators” when it comes to do something about the hazardous impact of climate change on this planet because they are going to be judged by their actions and not but their hesitations.
“Arnold Schwarzenegger has slammed climate change deniers, saying he ‘doesn’t give a damn’ if they believe in it or not.
The bodybuilder-turned-actor-turned-politician posted an epic rant on his Facebook page, where said he doesn’t care who is right or wrong on climate change – green energy is an investment.
The Terminator star, who is in Paris for the UN climate conference, also urged people to seek alternative sources of protein and avoid eating meat in order to save the planet.
In a rant posted on Schwarzenegger’s Facebook page yesterday, he told doubters that he didn’t ‘give a damn’ if they disagreed with him.
He wrote: ‘To use one of the four-letter words all of you commenters love, I don’t give a damn if you believe in climate change.
I couldn’t care less if you’re concerned about temperatures rising or melting glaciers. It doesn’t matter to me which of us is right about the science.
‘A clean energy future is a wise investment, and anyone who tells you otherwise is either wrong, or lying. Either way, I wouldn’t take their investment advice.’
Schwarzenegger, who once uttered the phrase ‘You hit like a vegetarian’, told the BBC: ‘Twenty-eight per cent of the greenhouse gasses come from eating meat and from raising cattle, so we can do a much better job.’
The Terminator star and former California governor said having meat-free days would help save the planet
Schwarzenegger’s appearance at the Paris climate talks, alongside fellow actors Robert Redford and Leonardo DiCaprio, has given the event an injection of star power
When it was suggested it may be hypocritical for a bodybuilder to ask people to consume less red meat, he said: ‘Luckily we know that you can get your protein source from many different ways, you can get it through vegetables if you are a vegetarian.
‘I have seen many body builders that are vegetarian and they get strong and healthy.’
Meanwhile, the former governor of California has met with China’s chief climate negotiator at the climate talks in Paris.
Schwarzenegger said the U.S. and others need to work together with China to fight climate change.
He said the whole world is letting China produce their products and therefore sending the pollution to China, adding ‘it’s not them versus us, it’s more like how do we do this together?’
Schwarzenegger was swamped by fans during his arrival at the climate talks in Paris on Saturday
He also called on parties at the talks to be more ‘collaborative’ and go beyond ‘political beliefs, ideology.’
Schwarzenegger was swamped by fans during his arrival at the climate talks in Paris on Saturday, giving the event a huge injection of star power.
During his speech, he recalled a childhood of milking cows in the rain and drawing water from a well as he called for the world to turn to clean energy and protect the world’s environment from global warming.
Harking back to his Austrian childhood, he said: ‘One of my chores was every morning at six o’clock to go to the farm next door and to milk the cow and to bring home the milk.
‘It did not matter what the weather was – whether it was cold, it was hot, raining, thunder, shower, whatever.”

Couple of meat free days wouldn’t hurt. Not sure whether he would be cutting out all the meat from his diet though. Still love Arny !
